Historic station on the Santiago–Valparaíso railway (line opened in 1863) and the civic heart of Llay-Llay. Restored by the municipality and reopened in 2023 as the Estación Cultural Center.

The Santiago–Valparaíso line reached Llay-Llay in 1863 and the station became the town's civic and social center. After years of municipal work and restoration, it reopened in September 2023 as the Estación Cultural Center, with exhibition rooms and spaces for local organizations and artistic activities.

How to get there

  1. From Santiago you reach Llay-Llay via Route 5 North or Route 57/60 (about an hour).
  2. Llay-Llay is a hub of Route 5 and Route 60, with signposted access.
  3. Good intercity connections: Santiago–San Felipe–Los Andes buses stop in the area.
